The most prestigious bass-fishing tournament series in America makes a stop in Louisiana in 2016.
Named the best bass-fishing lake in the nation by Bassmaster Magazine in 2015, Toledo Bend will be the site May 12-15, 2016.
Only 111 anglers will compete in the 2016 season, which consists of nine tournaments plus a classic bracket event.
Competitors must qualify for the series through the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Opens or the B.A.S.S. Nation, and anglers who are already in the Elite Series must re-quality each year by maintaining enough points throughout the season.
For most of us who won’t be competing but would like to take part in the festivities, there will be a weigh-in show and free family festival at Cypress Bend Park in Many, La. The festival includes music, food, dancing and much more.
